Hello All,
I'm finally getting around to posting the pictures from our camping trip. Another post will follow shortly with a few pics from our trip to KW. There is a fair number of pics for this post so I'll get right to them and save the typing for the descriptions.
We went to Porters Lake Nova Scotia Provincial Park. Its about half an hour outside of Halifax. The picture to the left is looking out across the camping loop from our campsite. You can see a chamber toilet (out house) in the bottom right hand coner of the picture.
This picture was taken by the chamber toilet in the last picture. It looks towards our campsite. Thats our Hyundia P.O.C. in the distance.
This ia pictureof another camping loop. As you can see there isn't much in the way of tree coverage in Porter's Lake. It took a real beating when Juan came through a couple of years ago.
on. It was very nice to look at. Mind you the lake is so large that is actually made its own wind while the sun was up. It was not a warm wind either, very chilly.

Over all the trip wasn't bad. It was not my best camping experience, but I don't think it was my worst either. It rained Friday night and was pretty cold on Saturday but we stuck it out and had a good time. As far as the campground goes.... well lets just say I hope Porter's lake is not representative of all Nova Scotia provincial parks. My best comparison would be to a large GRCA park. Next post will be my KW trip.
